Die Untersuchung beschftigt sich mit der Frage einer internationalen Haftung fr gentechnologisch bedingte Folgeschden. Anknpfungspunkte hierfr sind das UN-bereinkommen ber die biologische Vielfalt (CBD) und das Cartagena-Protokoll ber die biologische Sicherheit (BSP). Dieses Protokoll beschftigt sich mit dem Schutz vor den Gefahren der Biotechnologie fr den Bereich der grenzberschreitenden Verbringung gentechnisch vernderter Organismen. Die Frage der Haftung wird nur in Form eines Verhandlungsauftrages geregelt. Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht und systematisiert die spezifischen Probleme des Sachbereichs und den Stand der gegenwrtigen Diskussion um vlkervertrags- und vlkergewohnheitsrechtliche Haftungsnormen. Auf dieser Basis entwickelt sie Eckwerte fr ein mgliches internationales Haftungsregime.
