Die massenmediale Prsentation des Sports ist in unserer Gesellschaft selbstverstndlich. Es ist kaum vorstellbar, dass wichtige sportliche Ereignisse ohne ihre massenmediale Kommunikation in Fernsehen, Radio, Internet, Zeitungen und Zeitschriften stattfinden. Dabei wird die Bedeutung von Sportveranstaltungen groenteils von ihrem Stellenwert in der massenmedialen Prsentation bestimmt. Christian Stahl untersucht, wie die Erfolgsfaktoren der massenmedialen Kommunikation operationalisiert werden knnen; der Akzent liegt dabei auf dem ffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunk. Der Autor zeigt, dass die Nutzungshufigkeit von Kommunikationskanlen nur eingeschrnkt dazu geeignet ist, den Erfolg von Sportprsentationen zu belegen. Er weist die Legitimitt der normativen Vorgaben des Rundfunkrechtes nach und berprft die Geltung dieser Normen fr die Prsentation der 28. Olympischen Sommerspiele 2004.
