Er zeigt, dass die Unternehmensstrategie und die damit verbundene Umweltkomplexitt die Erfolgswirkung der personellen Zusammensetzung des Aufsichtsrats, seiner unternehmenspolitischen Kompetenz und der Organisation des Entscheidungsprozesses beeinflusst. Aus den Ergebnissen der Untersuchung werden Kriterien fr die Evaluation des Aufsichtsrats abgeleitet.
