Der Autor zeigt, dass der Zusammenbruch von Festkurssystemen sich in beiden Modelltypen auf rein arbitrre spekulative Attacken zurckfhren lsst, wobei analoge Erklrungsmechanismen zum Tragen kommen. Ein Rekurs auf sich verschlechternde Fundamentals zur Erklrung von Whrungskrisen ist nicht zwingend erforderlich.
