Macht und Moral gehren untrennbar zusammen. Die These des Bandes zielt auf die Dekonstruktion eines nicht hinterfragten Verstndnisses von Moral: Moral gilt meist als moralisch. Diese konsensuelle Unterstellung fhrt an einem wichtigen Merkmal von Moral vorbei: Moral wird durch Macht konstituiert. Moral, moralisches Handeln und moralische Motivation werden durch Sanktionen gesttzt, durch Internalisierung kontrolliert und durch Machtanwendung stabilisiert. Dieses Konstitutionsverhltnis gilt es durch eine Dekonstruktion von Moral aufzudecken. Dann wird sichtbar, dass Macht und Moral in drei verschiedenen Kontexten eng miteinander verwoben sind: Macht kommt vor der Moral, Macht ist in der Moral und Macht reguliert nach der Moral.
