Sie zeigt anschaulich, dass Brche als Anteile eines Ganzen verstanden werden knnen, aber auch als Verhltnisse von zwei Gren. Die Autorin zeigt verstndlich auf, warum Wurzeln nicht exakt durch Brche angegeben werden knnen, wie man gute Nherungen findet und warum eine ungewhnliche Bruchaddition zu paradoxen Ergebnissen fhren kann. Weiterhin erlutert sie praxisnah die Anwendung von Brchen beim Prozentrechnen und in der Wahrscheinlichkeitsrechnung und geht schlielich auf verschiedene Mglichkeiten ein, Mittelwerte zu bilden.
