Lena Rakers synthetisiert und charakterisiert neuartige NHC-Liganden ausgehend von den Biomoleklen Cholesterol und Campher. Die von Cholesterol abgeleiteten Strukturen konnten in der mizellaren Katalyse sowie in ersten biochemischen Untersuchungen getestet werden. Zustzlich stellte die Autorin bidentate NHC-Thioether-Hybridliganden fr die Stabilisierung von Pd-Nanopartikeln her, wobei sie ber die Auswahl der Liganden unterschiedliche Lslichkeiten der Partikel erzielen und variable Aktivitten in der Hydrierung von ungesttigten Systemen beobachten konnte.
