Der Lebensraum der Brgerinnen und Brger wird von der Kommunalpolitik mageblich mitgestaltet. Unser Wissen ber die lokalen Entscheidungstrger vor Ort ist allerdings begrenzt. Dies gilt besonders fr Unterschiede in den Einstellungen, die sich aus den jeweiligen lokalen Kontexten ergeben. Die Beitrge in diesem Band schlieen diese Forschungslcke und bieten Einblicke in die Rahmenbedingungen, Arbeitsweisen und Inhalte lokaler Politik aus Sicht von Kommunalpolitikern. Auf Basis einer Befragung von 720 lokalen Reprsentanten in 28 Gemeinden in Hessen wird erstens die lokale Variation ihrer Wahrnehmungen und Einstellungen untersucht und zweitens analysiert, welche Bedeutung lokale Rahmenbedingungen fr diese Orientierungen haben.
