In diesem Buch wird erlutert, warum aktuelle theoretische Modelle der Wirtschaftswissenschaften in der Praxis scheitern (mssen) und von welchen Annahmen stattdessen ausgegangen werden sollte. In den konomischen Theorien wird vom rational denkenden und rational handelnden Menschen, dem Homo Oeconomicus, ausgegangen. Dabei wird von vornherein festgelegt, was rationales Handeln ist - ohne die Umstnde des Handelns zu bercksichtigen. In der Praxis jedoch entscheidet und handelt der Mensch belegbar nicht immer "rational" nach der vorgegebenen Definition, sondern meistens emotional und immer im Kontext der Umstnde. Der Autor belegt diesen Widerspruch anhand von Beispielen und gibt auch Handlungsempfehlungen, um konomische Krisen zu verhindern.
