Dazu wurden Insassinnen sowohl nach ihren subjektiven Einstellungen und individuellen Bedrfnissen befragt als auch nach ihren Erfahrungen mit der gesundheitlichen Versorgung. Dabei zeigen inhaftierte Frauen einerseits ein groes Interesse an ihrer eigenen Gesundheit und ihr Gesundheitsverhalten verbessert sich in der Haft. Andererseits verschlechtert sich jedoch ihr Gesundheitszustand, insbesondere das psychosoziale Wohlbefinden. Die Autorin zeigt, dass intramurale Gesundheitsfrderung mglich und in mehreren Bereichen bereits vorhanden ist. Groes Verbesserungspotenzial besteht insbesondere im Hinblick auf die (gesundheitlichen) Bedrfnisse der Selbstbestimmung und der Partizipation.
