Der Fokus liegt dabei auf einer prgnanten und verstndlichen Darstellung dieser Anwendungen. Schwerpunkte bilden Beispiele zur Top-Down-Modellierung und dem wissensbasierten Konstruieren mit Hilfe von Teilefamilien und User Defined Feature (UDF) und die Optimierung von Bauteilen. Durch den tabellenartigen Aufbau kann das Buch als Schritt-fr-Schritt-Anleitung aber auch als Referenz fr die tgliche Arbeit sicher genutzt werden. Fr die 3. Auflage wurden die bungsbeispiele an die Funktionen von NX 12 angepasst sowie an einigen Stellen zustzliche Erluterungen der Funktionen hinzugefgt, das Buch wurde um den Themenkomplex der deformierbaren Teile erweitert. Kritische Modellierungsschritte werden zustzlich durch Videos dargestellt, die ber QR-Codes abrufbar sind.
