Melanie Erckrath befasst sich mit der Implementierung eines Assessment-Center-Verfahrens zur Auswahl von Schulleiterinnen und Schulleitern am Beispiel des Eignungsfeststellungsverfahrens in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Mithilfe der neo-institutionalistischen Organisationstheorie werden Rationalittsvorstellungen, die mit diesem Personalauswahlinstrument in Verbindung stehen, hinterfragt und sekundranalytisch mit Daten einer Evaluationsstudie bearbeitet. Es werden Analysen zur Gte des Assessment-Centers, zur Chancengleichheit der Teilnehmenden, der Institutionalisierung des Verfahrens und zur strukturellen Angleichung von Qualifizierungswegen im Zeitverlauf durchgefhrt.
