Als Motivation fr die schwierige Materie dient dabei ein zentrales Ziel des Buches: die bahnbrechenden Resultate von J.-P. Serre ber hhere Homotopiegruppen der Sphren, fr die er 1954 die Fields-Medaille erhielt. Auf dem Weg dahin liegen weitere Teilbereiche der algebraischen Topologie wie Lokalisierungen, Faserungen ber TCW-Rumen (Theorem von Milnor) oder die quivariante Homologie und Kohomologie. Voraussetzung fr die Lektre sind zwei Semester algebraische Topologie. Der Text ist daher gut geeignet fr interessierte Studierende ab dem fnften oder sechsten Semester im Bachelor Mathematik oder in einem mathematischen Masterstudium.
