Attractive by design, the large, detailed, triple-weight Professional Series pieces are ideal for casual or competitive play most often combined with club size vinyl roll-up chessboards. The set includes extra Queens and soft felt bases. See accessories for suggested chessboard with at least a 2 1/4" square As one reviewer already acknowledged, the Queens have sharp points and the black plastic is a bit prone to scratching. We find that the overall appearance of the plastic can be restored or improved with a fine grit wet/dry sandpaper. We used 1100 grit and the result was impressive.
