These are the exact same pieces as our Club Plastic Chess Set but in a triple weighted version with a total weight of 32 ounces. Having the extra weight is a little more expensive but the added stability of the pieces on the chess board makes it well worth it. As with all of our plastic sets we include 2 extra queens for pawn promotion. Pieces are made from an attractive glossy plastic that is durable and will stand up to the rigors of classroom use.
