These beautiful wood grain pieces blend the aesthetic beauty of a real wood set with the practical qualities of a resin chess set. The pieces have a rich rosewood and boxwood color with a realistic wood grain pattern and a beautiful glossy finish. The Professional is an attractive Jaques-like Staunton design with a graceful profile and pieces that are big and heavy. The knight has a level of detail that looks great but you won't have to worry about breaking anything off. The queen has sharp pointed coronet, the rooks are tall and beefy, and the bishops have a large slotted miter. The king is 4.125" tall and has a base diameter of 1.875". The pieces are triple weighted with all 34 pieces weighing in at over 4 pounds. We include two extra queens for pawn promotion. Our Club Vinyl Roll-up chess board is highly durable yet flexible enough to roll-up and store in a chess bag. This is a regulation size chess board with 2.375" squares and measures 22"overall.
