This is a thirty-four-piece set that includes two extra queens for pawn promotion. The pieces are handcrafted from golden rosewood and boxwood with the golden rosewood boasting a distinctive wood grain with rich golden-brown hues. This is a large, tournament size set with a 4-inch-tall king. The pieces are heavily weighted for exceptional stability and have thick green baize pads on the bottom for a soft cushion and that allow the pieces to slide smoothly across the chess board.
