Featuring a purely traditional Staunton design, the pieces are handcrafted one piece at a time just like they were over a hundred and twenty years ago. This is a thirty-four-piece set that includes two extra queens for pawn promotion. The king is 4"-tall with base diameter of 1.7" making it ideal for tournament games. The pieces are heavily weighted for exceptional stability and have thick green baize pads on the bottom for a soft cushion on the chess board.
