Our Deluxe Old Club is a classic that has been a favorite with chess players for decades. The pieces have often been displayed on covers of chess books and other publications. This is a thirty-four-piece set that includes two extra queens for pawn promotion. The king is 3.25"-tall with base diameter of 1.5" making it the perfect set for your casual chess games at home. The pieces are heavily weighted for exceptional stability and have thick green baize pads on the bottom for a soft cushion on the chess board. We include a Certificate of Manufacturer so you will always know what the pieces are, when they were made, and where they came from.Our Walnut and Maple Molded Edge Chess Board from Rechapados Ferrer combines classic design with elegant features to create an eye-catching battle field for your chess game. This is an inlaid chess board handcrafted from high quality walnut and maple veneer and sealed with a polyurethane finish that both protects and enhances the beauty of the wood. A wide and colorful burl wood delimiter accentuates the playing field while the black stained molded edge highlights the entire board. The squares are 1.75" and the footprint of the board is 19.5" square. Four felt pads on the bottom will protect whatever furniture the board sets on.Our Classic Chess Box is wonderfully constructed and reminiscent of the old heirloom quality chess boxes from many years ago. The box is covered in walnut veneer and the interior is lined with a thick green baize just like we use for the pads on our chess pieces. The box has a divider in the center for storing the black and white pieces separately.
