Our New Exclusive Staunton has a Jaques-esque design with all the features avid chess players and collectors looks for in an upper-end Staunton chess set. The pieces have an elegant profile, and the knight is beautifully sculpted with fine detail. This is a thirty-four-piece set that includes two extra queens for pawn promotion. The ebony and boxwood pieces are lacquer polished to a lustrous finish. The king is tall with a base diameter of 1.375", the perfect size for tournament chess games. Heavily weighted for exceptional stability, the pieces have thick green baize pads for a soft cushion on the chess board. We include a Certificate of Manufacturer so you will always know what the pieces are, when they were made, and where they came from.Our Deluxe Two Drawer Elm Burl and Bird's-Eye Maple Chess Case seamlessly combines functionality with elegance, offering a chess board and storage for chess pieces all in one. Handcrafted from solid wood, its exterior boasts graceful curves adorned with a three-row beaded section around the top and a refined molded edge beneath.
