Classic Mahogany Chess Piece Box With Green Baize Lining- Sets
This handsome and sturdy mahogany chess box is the perfect chess box for storing your small size chessmen or a checkers set. It has an old world-charm with its lock and key for securing the lid and an emerald green baize interior with a divider in the center for separating the two colors. This is an inlaid wood box with a beautiful mahogany veneer on the outside finished with a satin polyurethane for a rich shine. High quality brass plated hinges and lock add to the attractiveness of this box. The bottom of the box is covered in with black felt to protect furniture where it might sit. This box is designed for small sets and will hold a typical Staunton style set with a king 2.75" tall or smaller, plus 2 spare queens. Material: Mahogany Veneers & Other Wood; Finish: Satin Polyurethane; Outside Dimensions: 7" x 4.75" x 3" ; Inside Dimension: 6" x 3.75" x 2.25" (.5" space above in lid); NOTE: Because this chess box is being sold as a discontinued item and is significantly discounted, all sales are final.
