These pieces look and feel like real wood but they're plastic! The German Knight is a favorite for club players and used more than any other set in tournaments. The king is 3.9" tall and has a base diameter of 1.7". The pieces are nicely weighted for exceptional stability on the chess board and we include 2 extra queens for pawn promotion.Our Large Carry All Tournament Chess Bag will hold everything you need for your chess game. Inside there are 2 zippered compartments for holding the black and white pieces separately, a large compartment that will fit any chess clock, elastic straps for securing a rollup chess board, and a full length pocket for scorebooks. The chess piece compartments will hold plastic sets with up to a 3.75" king including spare queens. The bag is 23.5" long and will hold a 22" chess board. It has both a handle and detachable shoulder strap to make it easy to carry and zips open on 3 sides to make it easy to get things in and out.The lightweight floppy chess board combines the benefit of a flexible rubber backed mousepad board with the thinness of vinyl or silicone chess board.
