This attractive Staunton set features pieces with a unique profile having extra large collars and a husky knight with a contemporary design but without the detail you have to worry about breaking. The pieces are double weighted with exceptional stability on the chess board - a nice feature for the fast paced game. Pieces are virtually indestructible and the plastic is a matte finish so there is no reflective shine. The Chess Bag is made from a heavy canvas material that will withstand the rigors of frequent use and travel. Inside, the bag has 2 zippered compartments for chess pieces and a zippered compartment for a chess clock. The chess board is held in place by Velcro straps and you'll even find pockets for storing books and pencils. An adjustable shoulder strap and handle makes carrying it a breeze. The chess board is made from a soft, pliable vinyl with a cloth backing.
