Keep in a cool, dry place at all times. Caution: As this is a sugar product, it will absorb moisture which will cause the jewel to cloud and turn white (harmless). Therefore, place the jewel on the dessert just before serving. Dry Surfaces are best like fondant or icing.. This product is made from a sugar substitute, Isomalt. The jewels are shipped with a thin coat of vegetable oil to protect the shine and prevent sticking. Sometimes the jewels will be cloudy due to temperature fluctuations during shipping.
