The series which aired in the late 1960s is set in the year 2068 and follows the battle between Earth's Spectrum organization and the Mysterons an alien race from Mars. The Angel Interceptors are the primary aircraft used by Spectrum's elite all-female pilot team known as the Angels. These advanced fighter jets are stationed on Cloudbase Spectrums airborne headquarters and are always ready to defend Earth against the Mysteron threat.The Angel Interceptors are deployed in numerous conflicts throughout the series showcasing their speed agility and advanced weaponry. They are equipped with powerful jet engines that allow them to reach high speeds and altitudes making them highly effective against a variety of threats including enemy aircraft and extraterrestrial forces. The Angels led by Symphony Angel Harmony Angel and Rhapsody Angel skillfully pilot these interceptors in various missions often providing critical air support to Captain Scarlet and other Spectrum agents during their ground operations against the Mysterons.One of the most memorable conflicts involving the Angel Interceptors occurs in the episode "The Trap" where the Angels engage in a high-stakes aerial battle to thwart a Mysteron plan to assassina.
