A no-nonsense workhorse that specializes in hauling in giants, the Daiwa DF18000 Spinning Reel is built for those who consider line capacity and stopping power to be top priorities. The DF18000 is a new and improved version of the classic DF100A, which for years has been a favorite among jetty, surf, and pier anglers, as well as trophy catfish hunters. The new design includes a stainless-steel main shaft and fully anodized corrosion brakes. The low gear ratio and comfortable rubber soft touch handle makes winding in heavy loads easy. Despite its low gear ratio, the DF18000 picks up line quickly thanks to the large diameter of the spool. The oversized spool holds an astounding amount of line for applications where large amounts of heavy monofilament or braid are necessary.
