Der Computernutzer - das unbekannte Wesen? Angesichts der weit verbreiteten abstrakten Modellierung von Benutzeroberflchen knnte dieser Eindruck entstehen. Jana Haase rckt die Nutzer von Computern ins Zentrum ihrer Analyse: Wie deuten Anwender den Umgang mit den Neuen Medien? Welche Probleme haben sie bei der Computernutzung und wie lsen sie diese? Um dem nachzugehen, wurden - in der Tradition der Workplace Studies - ber die Methode der teilnehmenden Beobachtung authentische Bedienungsgesprche aufgezeichnet und gesprchsanalytisch ausgewertet. Aus der Datenanalyse resultiert zum einen ein Modell des Aufgaben- und Problembearbeitens; zum anderen lieen sich typische Bedienungsprobleme und Lsungsstrategien der Nutzer identifizieren. Abschlieend werden ergonomische Gestaltungsvorschlge formuliert. Denn auch hier gilt: Wer nutzergerechte Kommunikate erstellen will, muss den Anwender zunchst erst einmal verstehen.
