Ausgehend von der Feststellung eines verbreiteten Scheinkonsenses bezglich der Begrndung und Beurteilung umweltpolitischer Manahmen im Rahmen der "traditionellen" Umweltkonomik untersucht die Studie den grundstzlichen Zusammenhang von Umweltkonomik, Umweltpolitik und Marktwirtschaft. Dabei werden drei unterschiedliche umweltkonomische Anstze abgeleitet und in ihren Konsequenzen fr die Ableitung und Beurteilung insbesondere der deutschen Umweltpolitik diskutiert. Der Autor, geb. 1962, Diplom-Volkswirt, promovierte 1998 an der Universitt Trier. Er ist Fachreferent fr Wirtschaftswissenschaften bei der Deutschen Bibliothek in Frankfurt am Main.
