In den zahlreichen Berichten und wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten ber ehrbezogene Gewalt wird meist die Opferperspektive eingenommen. Ohne Frage ist dies ntzlich und notwendig, doch gehrt zur ehrbezogenen Gewalt auch die andere Seite. Die Seite derjenigen, die im Namen der Ehre Gewalt ausgebt haben. Mittels qualitativer Interviews wird in diesem Buch das Ziel verfolgt, konservative Vorstellungen trkischer Mnner ber die Rollenteilung zwischen Mann und Frau, ber innerfamilire Gewaltpraxis und Geschlechterehre zu rekonstruieren. Es wird herausgearbeitet, was Mnner, die im Namen der Ehre Gewalt ausben, unter Ehre verstehen. Welche Verhaltensweisen werden von ihnen als Ehrverletzung gedeutet und wie wre eine Ehrverletzung nach deren Meinung zu bestrafen? Aus den Gesprchen mit den Mnnern lt sich schlieen, was ihr Leben prgt und wo prventiver Handlungsbedarf besteht.
