This chess set package includes a set of our Fierce Knight Staunton chess pieces in acacia and Boxwood together with our Deluxe Tiger Ebony and Maple Chess Board. Our Fierce Knight is a blend of contemporary and traditional Staunton design featuring knights that are carved with realistic features. The perked ears, eyes, mouth, and mane create a fierce looking countenance that gives this set its name. The pieces have an elegant profile that is carefully turned to perfection on every piece and the acacia and boxwood are hand polished to a rich sheen. The pieces are triple weighted for exceptional stability on the chess board. The bottom of the pieces are padded with the traditional thick green baize for easily sliding from square to square and a soft feel when placing. We include a certificate of authenticity so you will always know what the chess set is, where it came from, and when it was made.Our Deluxe Tiger Ebony and Maple Chess Board is made for us by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain, the preeminent chess board manufacturer in the world. Tiger ebony is one of the most exotic and unique woods in the world with its irregular black and brown stripes from which it gets its name. The rich brown color of the acacia goes perfectly with the brown stripes of the tiger ebony while the black stripes create a soft contrast and together the acacia and boxwood pieces look stunning against the unique character of the chess board.
