The New Exclusive has a Jaque's-esque design with all the features avid chess players and collectors look for in an upper-end Staunton chess set. The pieces have an elegant profile, and the knight is beautifully sculpted with fine detail. This is a thirty-four-piece set that includes two extra queens for pawn promotion. The ebonized pieces are lacquer polished to an obsidian black finish nearly indistinguishable from real ebony. The king is tall with a base diameter of 1.625", the perfect size for casual chess games at home. Heavily weighted for exceptional stability, the pieces have thick green baize pads for a soft cushion on the chess board. We include a Certificate of Manufacturer so you will always know what the pieces are, when they were made, and where they came from.Our Mahogany and Maple Deluxe Chess Board from Rechapados Ferrer combines classic design with elegant features to create an eye-catching battlefield for your chess game. This is an inlaid chess board handcrafted from high quality mahogany and maple veneer and sealed with a polyurethane finish that both protects and enhances the beauty of the wood.
