This beautiful European chess set combines Italfama's Classic Persian Staunton solid brass chess pieces from Italy matched with Rechapados Ferrer's Blue Ash Burl and Whitened Bird's Eye Maple chess board from Spain. These elegant chess pieces are turned from solid brass and have a traditional Staunton design with graceful curves and shapes. The knight is beautifully sculpted with fine detail including the mane, ears, eyes, and mouth. This is small set with a 2.75" king and a base diameter of 1" but perfectly suitable for a game of chess at home.The blue ash burl and erable chess board creates a stunning backdrop against the bright gold and silver color of the brass and nickel plated chess pieces.
