This small Staunton style metal chess set from Italfama is perfect for analysis, travel, or where you simply don't have room for larger set. The king is 1.9" tall and has a base of .75". Pieces are solid metal that are cast using the age-old lost wax casting process. The pieces are then brass and nickel plated followed by several layers of lacquer to prevent tarnishing. The surface of each piece has a unique Arabesque pattern that adds a decorative element to the set. It makes a wonderful alternative to small wood or plastic chess sets.
