This chess set package includes our Deluxe Old Club Staunton Chess Set in golden rosewood and boxwood matched with our Deluxe Walnut Chess Case. Our Deluxe Old Club is an ageless classic that for years has been a favorite with players for its distinguishable knight and traditional Staunton design. The Deluxe Old Club is often displayed on the front cover of countless chess books and has been used for plastic chess set models because of its popularity with club and tournament players. This set features a tall king with a base of 1.375", an ideal set for casual games at home with family and friends. Pieces have green billiard cloth pads for a soft landing on the chess board and are nicely weighted for stability. The rich golden-brown colors of the golden rosewood pieces blend perfectly with the walnut board. We include a certificate of authenticity so you will always know what the chess set is, where it came from, and when it was made.Our Deluxe Chess Case has two drawers with individual compartments for storing all 32 chess pieces separately. The compartments are lined on the sides and bottom with a soft beige velour material to protect the pieces from getting scuffed up. The case measures 16.5" square and is 3" tall.
