This complete chess set package includes The Battle of the Giants chess pieces, brass chess board, and an attractive wood case that holds both the chess pieces and board. Each piece is wonderfully designed and sculpted with fine detail to capture the essence of the characters portrayed in this chess set. The pieces are die cast solid zinc with brass and nickel plating that gives the pieces a shiny gold and silver look. The final step is a varnish finish to protect the pieces from ever tarnishing.The chess board is made from a sheet of brass with each square delineated by a raised edge. The frame and black squares are painted a multicolor brown with an antiqued pattern that looks absolutely stunning. Be sure to watch the video to see how it's done. The board is protected with a lustrous varnish that both protects and enhances the colors of the board. The chess board measures 17" overall with 1.75" squares.
