Our Bohemian draws inspiration from a vintage German design of the 1950s, showcasing a distinctive knight with enchanting dragon-like features. This is a thirty-four-piece set that includes two extra queens for pawn promotion. The pieces are handcrafted from boxwood with the ebonized pieces stained and polished to a lustrous black ebony-like finish. This is a large, tournament size set with a 4-inch-tall king. The pieces are heavily weighted for exceptional stability and have thick green baize pads on the bottom for a soft cushion and that allow the pieces to slide smoothly across the chess board. A triple-layer delimiter accentuates the playing field while an extra wide frame adds a level of simple sophistication. The squares are 2.125" and the footprint of the board is 21.5" square.
