Napoleon and his military conquests have long been a favorite subject for theme chess sets. This design from Italfama renders Napoleon Bonaparte, his wife Josephine, and other key elements of his French army. The detail captured on each piece is amazing. Cast from solid zinc using the age-old lost-wax casting process, you will love the way these heavy pieces feel when playing. The pieces are brass and nickel plated followed by several layers of lacquer to prevent tarnishing and keep them beautiful and shiny year after year. The blue ash burl and erable chess board creates a stunning backdrop against the bright gold and silver color of the brass and nickel plated chess pieces.
