This chess set package includes our Parker Staunton Chess Set in ebonized and natural boxwood matched with our Deluxe Walnut Chess Case.The Parker has the look and character you expect in a traditional Staunton chess set. The knights are wonderfully carved with just the right level of detail for a chess set that will get a lot of use. The ebonized boxwood is jet black and has no visible grain like real ebony while the cream colored natural boxwood is the perfect wood for the white chess pieces. The pieces are hand polished and lacquered to a beautiful luster. The king is tall and has a base diameter of 1.625" - an ideal tournament size set. The pieces are heavily weighted and have thick green baize pads for a soft feel on the chess board. We include 2 spare queens for pawn promotion and a certificate of authenticity so you will always know what the chess set is, where it came from, and when it was made. This beautiful handcrafted chess set will please any chess player and enhance the pleasure of the game!This chess set features a walnut chess case that has two drawers with individual compartments for storing all 32 chess pieces separately. These are tournament size pieces with a tall king and a base diameter 1.375". Pieces have thick green baize pads for a soft feel on the chess board and are nicely weighted for stability.
