This is a thirty-four-piece set that includes two extra queens for pawn promotion. The pieces are sealed in a gloss lacquer finish that enhances the beauty of the wood. The king is tall with a base diameter of 1.625", the perfect size for tournament chess games. Heavily weighted for exceptional stability, the pieces have thick green baize pads for a soft cushion on the chess board.
