Introduced in 1944 the Ryusei played a role in the conflicts final chapters attempting to counter the increasingly challenging Allied naval and air supremacy.The aircraft was part of the Kougeki 5th Hikotai assigned to the 752nd Kokutai. It faced its baptism of fire in the intense air battles and naval engagements of the Pacific Theater in 1945. The Ryusei was distinctive for its innovative design featuring a sleek fuselage retractable landing gear and a powerful engine which provided it with good speed and agility for a bomber of its size. However despite its capabilities the Ryusei faced the overwhelming might of the Allied forces as Japan struggled in the face of defeat.Meticulously crafted 1:72 scale model captures the details of the "Grace" bomber from its distinct shape to the markings of the Kougeki 5th Hikotai. Aviation enthusiasts and collectors alike will appreciate.
