Its angular and stealthy design made it nearly invisible to radar and it was the first operational aircraft specifically designed around stealth technology.In 2004 the F-117A Nighthawk continued its service as part of the 53rd Test and Evaluation Group where it contributed to the development and testing of new technologies and tactics.
