Our Bohemian series chess set has traditional Staunton features with a unique knight unlike any other in our collection. The simple and handsome design is unencumbered by fine detail making it perfect for tournament chess play. The pieces are made from golden rosewood and boxwood and have a traditional polished lacquer finish. The king is tall and has a base diameter of 1.5". The pieces are heavily weighted for exceptional stability and have thick green baize pads on the bottom for a soft cushion and allow pieces to slide smoothly across the chess board.
