The Professional is a traditional Staunton set in every respect with attractive Jacque-esque knights that are beautifully sculpted and have fine detail. The pieces have a stout yet graceful profile with a wide base allowing for extra-heavy weighting that provides exceptional stability on the chess board. The king is 4.125" tall with a 1.875" base and the combined 34 pieces weigh an impressive 60 ounces. Two extra queens for pawn promotion and the pieces have green felt pads on the bottom. The black and camel color pieces create a nice contrast with the royal blue and buff chess board.Our Deluxe Carry-All Tournament Chess Bag is thoughtfully designed for holding everything the chess player needs and makes it easy to carry to the next game. The bag is made of an attractive and heavy nylon material that is durable and will withstand the wear of travel for many years. The bag has both a handle and a detachable shoulder strap for convenient carrying and a double zipper that opens the bag on three sides to make it easy to get things out. Inside there are two zippered compartments for holding the black and white pieces separately and a spacious zippered compartment in the middle that will hold the largest chess clock. There are 2 elastic straps for holding a rollup chess board in place and a pocket goes the full length of the bag for scorebooks and other items.The lightweight floppy chess board combines the benefit of a flexible rubber backed mousepad board with the thinness of vinyl or silicone chess board. The top surface is a fabric material that is washable while the bottom is a thin rubber mat and together the board is only 1 mm thick (~040").
