Featuring a purely traditional Staunton design, the pieces are handcrafted from African padauk and boxwood and lacquer polished to a lustrous finish. This is a thirty-four-piece set that includes two extra queens for pawn promotion. The king is 3.5"-tall with base diameter of 1.5" making it the perfect pieces for your chess games at home. The pieces are heavily weighted for exceptional stability and have thick green baize pads on the bottom for a soft cushion on the chess board.
