This package includes our Queen's Gambit Series chess set with golden rosewood and boxwood pieces matched with our Deluxe Two-Drawer Walnut Chess Case. Inspired by the hit Netflix series, The Queen's Gambit, these are the exact same pieces Beth and the young Russian protégé, Georgi Girev, played with in their match in Mexico City, and nearly lost. The pieces are made from golden rosewood and boxwood with a traditional polished lacquer finish. The king is tall with a base diameter of 1.45". The pieces are heavily weighted for exceptional stability and have green billiard cloth pads for a soft feel on the chess board. We include two extra queens for pawn promotion and a certificate of manufacture so that you will always know where the chess set came from and what it is.Our Deluxe Two-Drawer Walnut Chess Case is the ideal choice for combining a chess board with a way of storing chess pieces when you're not playing a game. This exterior of the case is made from solid wood with an elegant molded edge design that incorporates a graceful curve and a three row beaded section at the top. The chess board is made from high quality walnut and maple veneer and has a decorative black inlaid border to delineate the playing area.
