This chess set includes our New Exclusive Staunton chess pieces handcrafted from genuine ebony and boxwood matched with our Black and Ash Burl High Gloss Deluxe Chess Board and Classic Black Chess Box. Our New Exclusive Staunton has a Jaques-esque design with all the features avid chess players and collectors looks for in an upper-end Staunton chess set. The pieces have an elegant profile, and the knight is beautifully sculpted with fine detail. This is a thirty-four-piece set that includes two extra queens for pawn promotion. The ebony and boxwood pieces are lacquer polished to a lustrous finish. The king is tall with a base diameter of 1.375", the perfect size for casual chess games at home. Heavily weighted for exceptional stability, the pieces have thick green baize pads for a soft cushion on the chess board. We include a Certificate of Manufacturer so you will always know what the pieces are, when they were made, and where they came from.Our Black and Ash Burl Deluxe Chess Board made for us by Rechapados Ferrer combines classic design with elegant features creating an eye-catching battlefield for your chess game.
