This attractive chess case is the ideal choice for combining a chess board with a way of storing chess pieces when you're not playing a game. This exterior of the case is made from solid wood with an elegant molded edge design that incorporates a graceful curve and a three row beaded section at the top. The chess board is made from high quality walnut and maple veneer and has a decorative black inlaid border to delineate the playing area. There are two drawers, one on each player's side and they completely pull out to make it easy to take pieces out or put them in. A recessed magnet on each of the drawer secures the drawer when closed. The compartments will hold a chess set with up to a 4.125" tall king and with base of 1.625". This is a beautiful chess case that will look stunning displayed in your home whether you keep your chess pieces out or put them away.
