Unencumbered by fine detail, these chess pieces will stand up to the rigor of daily play for a lifetime. This is a thirty-four-piece set that includes two extra queens for pawn promotion. The golden rosewood and boxwood pieces are lacquered polished to a lustrous shine. The king is tall with a base diameter of 1.25", the perfect size for casual chess games at home. Heavily weighted for exceptional stability, the pieces have thick green baize pads for a soft cushion on the chess board. We include a Certificate of Manufacturer so you will always know what the pieces are, when they were made, and where they came from.Our Walnut and Maple Molded Edge Chess Board from Rechapados Ferrer combines classic design with elegant features to create an eye-catching battlefield for your chess game.
