This chess set includes The Story of Camelot hand painted theme chess pieces matched with our Green and Erable High Gloss Deluxe Chess Board. This colorful chess set is based on the story of Camelot, the mythical castle of the legendary King Arthur. The kings are represented by King Arthur and King Lot with the other pieces represented by the Knights of the Round Table and the King Lots henchmen. The pieces are artistically designed with features and fine detail to capture the essence of the characters. The pieces are cast in solid polystone, a very hard, stone-like material, and are hand painted in realistic colors by highly skilled artisans with amazing detail.Our Green and Erable High Gloss Deluxe Chess Board is made for us by Rechapados Ferrer in Spain, the largest manufacturer of high-quality chess boards in the world. This is an inlaid chess board made from green stained ash burl and erable veneer sealed with a high gloss polyurethane finish to protect and enhance the beauty of the wood. The precision of the inlay work is remarkable. The squares are 1.75" and the overall size of the board is 17.5" and .5" thick. A triple inlay delimiter accentuates the squares from the extra-wide frame adding elegance to the design. The bottom of the board has felt pads to protect whatever surface it sits on.
