Born during the Reformation, Queen Mary lived a controversial life during a time of religious turmoil when Protestantism and Catholicism fought for control. Linked to a plot to assassinate her cousin Queen Elizabeth I of England, she was eventually executed. This is a large chess set with a king that measures 3.75 inches tall. Cast from solid zinc using the age-old lost-wax casting process, you will love the way these heavy pieces feel when playing.
